WCDLF allocates $3.7 Million New Market Tax Credits to CAPTA, LLC (March 2005)

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: The Wisconsin Community Development Legacy Fund, LLC ("WCDLF") has allocated $3.7 million in New Market Tax Credits to CAPTA, LLC a real estate holding company created for the development of Lena's Food Market, a Milwaukee central city food store. The principals of Lena's Food Market have owned and operated successful central city food markets for over 35 years. Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett hosted the announcement of the transaction in a ceremony on March 23. It is expected that the new supermarket will create 145 new central city jobs.

Lena's has operated in and served central city Milwaukee since 1965 as a successful family run enterprise. Lena's has been the recipient of numerous honors including the United States Department of Commerce 2005 National Minority Entreprenuer of the Year.

The Wisconsin Community Development Legacy Fund, LLC was allocated $100 million in Federal New Market Tax Credits in May 2004. The allocation of tax credits to CAPTA, LLC is the sixth transaction completed by WCDLF since its allocation in 2004. Legacy Waveland Advisors, LLC acted as structuring and placement agent for the financing.
